It’s been 5 years today.
I miss your laughter, your inappropriate sense of humor, your advice that was always wise beyond your years.
I miss “hanging out” on the phone when you moved away. You showing me what you’d learned on the guitar. Watching movies and talking about the future. You telling me all about the awful girls you ended up dating. And about the craziness that was your life when you lived in Colorado.
I wish I could know you now. I wonder who you would have become. Would we still be as close? Would you have actually gone to college, got married, had a family, like you dreamed of doing?
I love you, still. I’ve changed so much since you were killed. I hope you like who I’ve become. I hope you’re proud of me.
